Oregon Battle of the Books (OBOB)
2026-2027 Season

OBOB Is a fun, reading-based competition for 3rd-5th grade students. Each year, OBOB provides a selected reading list of books for students to read and prepare for the competition. Students form teams and compete by answering questions about the books they’ve read.  OBOB encourages reading, teamwork, and friendly competition.

At Mary Woodward, OBOB is a parent volunteer-run after-school activity.  The season typically runs from October through February, culminating in a school wide competition. The winning Mary Woodward team advances to the regional competition in March.  Regional winners then have the opportunity to advance to the state competition.
